OBAAT will deconstruct the startup process into digestible and attainable mini goals that will educate and empower the business owner with the tools to justify their decision making. By building concepts from the ground up, students will observe and engage first hand, what its like to transition from theory to action.
OBAAT will be supported through:
• Webinars
• Case studies
• Toolbox of necessary resources to bring these concepts to life.
These case studies include: the food and beverage industry, retail, ecommerce, education, tech and non-profit organizations. We will walk through this program together by breathing life into these business concepts turning theory into practical digestible steps to reach our personal goals...on our terms.
The Pop-Up Academy spans beyond just the food industry, but retail, tech and service industries. The pop up markets have been the best way for students to test ideas at the minimum risks while gaining the following experiences:
• Marketing Strategy
• Competitive advantage
• Basic financial literacy, such as
• Direct and Indirect Expenses
• Profit and Loss
• Unit of Sale
At the end of the program, students will be able to start and launch their own pop up concepts from the ground up, as a team.
The Swim with Sharks Academy will dissect our concepts and build them up through several sessions. We will discuss ‘how to fundraise,’ ‘how to valuate your business,’ and ‘maybe you don’t need an investor.’
We have 20 sessions in our curriculum. Our participants are encouraged to engage and apply their ideas within the sessions, and outside in daily life.
